Itinerary:
Day 1 Arrive at Kathmandu airport (1345meters), transfer to hotel (no meals):
You will be met & greeted by an airport representative who will be on standby to pick you up and transfer you to your hotel. Your evening is free and after you’ve refreshed, you can go for a stroll down the street to get familiar with your surroundings. Window shopping would be a good start to look around, your first overnight in the valley of temples and cows.
Day 2 Full day sightseeing of Kathmandu valley & an orientation (B):
After having breakfast at hotel, you will be starting the sightseeing tour in Kathmandu Valley; you will be escorted by a professional guide and your tour will include Kathmandu Durbar Square, Monkey Temple - Swayambhunath (note, there are real monkeys down there & they can be a pain in the neck, especially if you are munching something while climbing the steps to the temple; whatever your munching could vanish from your hands in seconds if you’re not careful. The best way to appease these monkeys is by buying some bananas from vendors just by the roadside to the temple and distribute them on your way up, they’d be happy and leave you alone). Pashupatinath Temple and Baudhanath Stupa - The Pashupatinath is a significant place of visit because this is a heritage site - one of the most important religious site for Hindus in Nepal and India. Within the boundaries of this temple are cremation zones where the bodies of Nepalese, right from the pauper on the streets to the king of Nepal are cremated at this old temple. In the early evening you'll get back to your hotel and refresh after which your trek leader will meet the group and orient you on the whole program related to your trip. You will even have sufficient time to buy some trek gear if you need any in Thamel area, overnight at Hotel.
Day 3 Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara (200 Kilometers west of Kathmandu) - 6 Hours (B):
You'll drive along the scenic Trisuli and Marsyangdi River to reach Pokhara, it’s a good drive as you go by the beautiful river which is also good for rafting; you view Ganesh Himal and the Manaslu peak as well during the drive. Pokhara is a tourist's paradise full of natural as well as cultural heritage sites such as lakes, caves, and temples of Buddhist and Hindus along with her lovely mountains. After 6 hours of driving; you will arrive in Pokhara, the city of lakes, welcome to this beautiful town of serene lakes that gives so much meaning to your holidays, overnight at your Hotel.
Day 4 Drive from Pokhara (915 m.) to Nayapul (1050m.) and Trek to Tikhedunga (1577m) - 4 Hours (B, L, D):
After having breakfast at the hotel, you'll start to drive to Nayapul, which takes approximately one and half hours, you'll then start the first part of your hike out to Tikhedunga (1577M) Via Birethanti (1065m.) this is a pretty easy flat out hike as you pass through several small lively villages and settlements, after some time, you will ascend gently to the final destination of the day, overnight at Guesthouse.
Day 5 Trek to Ghorepani (2675m) - 6 Hours (B, L, D):
After having hot breakfast at lodge, you'll start the trek and ascend steeply for the first 2 hours then ascend gently passing through Ulleri (2070m.) and Banthanti, villages. This path gives breathtaking views of Machhapuchhare or Fish Tail (6997m.), Hiunchuli (6441m.), and the grand Annapurna (7219m) south on the way. Your trekking trail now gets quite easy going as you pass through rhododendron and shadowy forests amidst the cackling of birds until you ascend gently up to the final camp to the Ghorepani, check into the Lodge and overnight at Guesthouse.
Day 6 Hike to Poonhill (3180m.) and trek to Tadapani (2675m.) - 6 hours (B, L, D):
Today, you hike to Poonhill (3232m.) to enjoy the sunrise views over Mt. Dhaulagiri (8167m.), Tukuche Peak (6920m.), Nilgiri (6940m.), Varaha Shikhar (7847m.), Mt. Annapurna I (8091m.), Annapurna South (7219m.), Annapurna III (7855m.), Machhapuchhare (6993m.), Annapurna IV (7525m.), Annapurna II (7937m.), Lamjung Himal (6931m.) and other numerous snowcapped mountains in the morning; Poonhill has always been a symbol of beauty for the Annapurna region then you will return down to Ghorepani and have a hot breakfast at the lodge and trek to Tadapani (2650m.). Most parts of the trail you trek is through blooming rhododendron forest; the beautiful flower makes the jungle colourful in spring when they bloom, check in to the lodge in Tadapani and overnight at Guesthouse.
Day 7 Trek from Tadapani (2675m.) to Ghandruk (1950m.)- 3 Hours( B, L, D):
After having breakfast at lodge, you'll start your trek and today, it is easy trekking by descending gently all the way through rhododendron, oak and other kinds of dense forests. You will hear different kinds of birds chirping on the way, this is one of the popular destinations for the birds' lovers and Ghandruk is a big Gurung village, there is a handicraft centre and Gurung museum, from this village you will see the views of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Gangapurna (7455m.), Annapurna III (7755m.) and Fishtail, overnight at Lodge.
Day 8 Trek from Ghandruk to Nayapul (Pokhara) & Drive to Pokhara- 4 Hours (B, L):
After having breakfast at hotel, you start your trek and today is your last day trekking and it is a very easy trek by descending gently half of the way through the rice field and local villages to Syauli bazaar and walks flat part until Nayapul then drive to Pokhara, check in to the hotel and your evening is free and overnight at Hotel.
Day 9 Drive from Pokhara to Chitwan- 6 hours (B, L, D):
After an early morning breakfast at hotel, you will drive to Chitwan that takes about 6 hours and check into your jungle lodge and embark on a wildlife Tharu village tour and overnight at your lodge.
Day 10 Full day of go-wild jungle activities (B, L, D):
After breakfast amidst the sweet chirping of birds, you'll set out for a full day of jungle activities that include Jungle Walking, Elephant Back Riding Safari across streams and into the jungles; you'll also enjoy watching the Elephants bathing and visit the elephant Breeding centre, at eventide, while having supper, you'll enjoy a scintillating Tharu cultural stick dance in the evening and overnight at your lodge.
Day 11 Drive from Chitwan to Kathmandu (B):
After breakfast, you will go on a bird watching tour in the morning and drive to Kathmandu and check into the hotel and evening is free and overnight at your Hotel.
Day 12 Transfer to international airport for your final flight departure (B):
Head home.
