Hi. Also inquiring about 2 nights for 2 people, as well as the option for 10 people rather than 8. We may need to book 8 + 2 separately but the 2 would also need two nights accommodation. Thank-you.

Hi Folks,
Thanks for your interest in our TranzAlpine Train package Deal. We can usually accommodate variations or additions to what you get for you voucher but it is a good idea to email or call us first so we can see what you have in mind and to check the availability on the dates you want then we can give you the best advice about it.The train trip is really nice at present with a lot of snow on the mountains giving some spectacular scenery.

It appears the train is only running on very few days and a bus will be used for most of the trip is this correct

Hi Robbie, hmmmmm....I'm not sure where you got that idea from. Bar any catastrohes, the train goes everyday. Train tracks do sometime require maintenance and so they do coach people over part of the route if that happens. These are listed on the train website but when I checked today there are none listed and I rang the train people too and they said they did not have any either. Anyone can call the train people to check for themselves as this can change from time to time. If you are lucky or if you plan it right you can book the train for a day when they are putting on a coach for the section to go over the mountains rather than under them one way and then come back through the tunnel on your return. Then you get to see both experiences. This doesnt happen very often though, sorry!
