Itinerary:
Day One - Arrive in Kathmandu (Includes Airport Transfer) (A)
Transfer to your hotel for a pre-trip meeting with your guide.
Day Two - Pre-Trip Meeting / Full Day Sightseeing Tour of Kathmandu Valley (A, B)
After breakfast, they will take you for the sightseeing tour in Kathmandu Valley including Kathmandu Durbar Square, Monkey Temple, Pashupatinath Temple and Baudhanath Stupa, transfer to hotel and overnight at hotel.
Day Three - Fly to Lukla and trek to Phakding (A, B, L, D)
Fly on a twin-engine Otter to the Himalayan foothills in the village of Lukla, from where you will begin your trek into the Khumbu region. Stay overnight at the lodge.
Day Four - Trek to Namche Bazaar (A, B, L, D)
From Phakding continue trekking along the banks of the Dudh Kosi, on exciting suspension bridges laden with prayer flags. After entering Sagarmatha National Park at Monjo, the trail climbs steeply with breathtaking views to Namche Bazaar, the gateway to the Khumbu region. Namche Bazaar is a colourful panoply of lodges, houses and restaurants which is nestled in a U-shaped bowl amphitheatre surrounded by mountain ranges on three sides and opening out to the Bhote Khosi on the other. Stay overnight at the lodge.
Day Five - Namche Bazaar, Acclimatization Day (A, B, L, D)
Visit the Sherpa Museum to get the information regarding the history of the Himalayas, its geography, culture and its people, mountaineering history and information of flora and fauna of this region. Explore the wonderful and interesting shops and vendors, or indulge in the delights of the local bakeries of Namche Bazaar.
Day Six - Trek to Tengboche (A, B, L, D)
Continue along the rushing glacial waters of the Dudh Kosi with magnificent views of the mountains. Pass through Sanasa, then the trail drops to Phunki Thanga. Views from here of the Himalayan giants are deemed to be the most magnificent in the world. Inside of the monastery are incredibly ornate wall hangings, a 6m sculpture of Buddha, and the musical instruments and robes of the Lamas. Enjoy the view of Mt. Everest when you reach Tengboche. Stay overnight at the lodge.
Day Seven - Trek to Dingboche (A, B, L, D)
After a short, steep and muddy descent through a forest of birches, conifers and rhododendrons you will reach Debuche, where you can see Nepal's national bird, the Impeyan Pheasant. After crossing the Imja Khola on a swaying suspension bridge high above a spot where the river rushes through a narrow cleft, the trail climbs past some magnificently carved mani stones to Pangboche. The uphill trek continues, taking you to the quaint traditional Sherpa village of Dingboche with its exquisite views of Lhotse, Island Peak and Ama Dablam.
Day Eight - Another Rest day at Dingboche (A, B, L, D)
Today is the remarkable acclimatization day. There are some breathtaking views of the North face of Ama Dablam and the Lhotse-Nuptse ridge as you explore this beautiful valley that leads up to Island Peak. The walk is short with a good chance to relax in the afternoon. You have another option as you can hike up to Chhukum. From there, you can enjoy the panoramic view of Island peak, Ama Dablam, Makalu, Tawoche Peak and others. Stay overnight at the lodge.
Day Nine - Trek to Lobuche (A, B, L, D)
On this day, the trail traverses through meadows and farmland before continuing along the lateral moraine of the Khumbu Glacier. Pass through the small village of Duglha before climbing up to a viewpoint with stone memorials as a tribute to climbers who have perished on nearby summits. The trail drops a bit and follows the western side of the valley to Lobuche. Stay overnight at the lodge.
Day 10 - Lobuche - Everest Base Camp and back to Gorakshep (A, B, L, D)
Start with a climb to Lobuche Pass to reach Gorakshep. After checking in the lodge, head to Everest Base Camp. Walk past the Khumbu Glacier which is a tough path but always enjoyable. See the crest of the north ridge of Everest along with Mt. Pumori, Mt. Mahalangur, Mt. Lingtern, Mt. Kumbutse, Mt. Nuptse and more. See the notorious Everest Ice Fall that flows from the Western Cwm. Spend some time taking photos in the natural amphitheatre. Trek back to Gorakshep. Visit Kala Patthar today (weather permitting) during sunset, Stay overnight in Gorakshep at a local lodge.
Day 11 - Hike to Kala Patthar - Gorekshep - Pheriche (A, B, L, D)
Ascend to Kala Patthar and take several breaks to take pictures from several outstanding view points. Push yourself to climb the rocky projection near to the summit manifested by cairns and prayer flags. At the top of Kala Patthar is a small stupa and a weather station. Trek down to Gorakshep to have breakfast and trek down to Pheriche. Stay overnight in a local lodge.
Day 12 - Trek Down to Pangboche - Tengboch - Namche Bazaar (A, B, L, D)
The journey today starts with quite a few metres drop to the valley floor as you cross the Dudh Kosi river on a suspension bridge. Walk in the shadow of the pine trees and rhododendrons bushes that line these well-trodden trails. Tonight you will be in Namche Bazaar where the staff will provide you with warm water for a shower. Stay overnight at a guesthouse.
Day 13 - Namche Bazaar - Lukla (A, B, L, D)
Continue to walk down to Monjo, enjoying a night at the Monjo local lodge. Easy walk down through Phakding Lukla for the final night's stay in the Khumbu region. Participants can explore Lukla, a rapidly changing portion of the Himalayas. Stay overnight at Lukla.
Day 14 - Fly Back to Kathmandu (A, B, D)
The early morning flight drops you in Kathmandu. You will be transferred to your hotel after arrival in Kathmandu. Rest in your hotel or enjoy free time in Thamel, In the evening Himalayan Scenery Treks will provide you with a farewell dinner, including a Nepali Cultural show.
Day 15 - Final Day (B)
Have breakfast in the morning and at your suitable time transfer to International Airport for your final flight home
